AWANA: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
AWANA is a global nonprofit Bible-memorization ministry that runs during the school year for students in preschool through 12th grade. The mission statement for this program is based on 2 Timothy 2:15 and is to help “reach kids, equip leaders, and change the world for God.” Through AWANA, we want to help foster long-lasting friendships, demonstrate the love of Jesus through positive role models, and engage students in the gospel every week.
Each AWANA club meeting will consist of three primary parts:
Game Time: During this time, we will encourage children and students as they learn about teamwork, communication, and good sportsmanship
Large Group Time: During this time, we will engage the students in worship and a practical Bible lesson with others in their age group.
Small Groups: During this time, we will help foster close friendships between students and allow time for them to reflect on the Bible verses that they have been memorizing.
Registration for all AWANA programming, including registration for adult volunteers, is now open. Club will begin on September 25 for Wednesday night programming and on September 8 for Sunday night programming. There are scholarships available for this programming.
